PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN.

Promotional campaign is part of business overall marketing campaign. It includes various tactics and activities to create awareness, generate interest towards a product or services. It is done by Advertising using paid media channels to promote product or services to a wide audience. Sales promotion, personal selling ,public relation, direct marketing, content marketing and influencer marketing.

The objective of promotional campaign is to attract new customer, increase sales, enhancing brand awareness , expanding market penetration , generating demand, stimulating interest ,informing and educating prospects and customers, Differentiate your product or service, New product or service promotion.

Identification of Product and Services.

Products are tangible entities that can be seen, touched, and physically possessed by customers. They can be manufactured, stored, and distributed. Products typically have distinct features, specifications, and physical attributes that differentiate them from competitor product. Examples of products include Television, Mobile phones, washing machine, automobiles etc.

Services are intangible and are experienced or consumed rather than possessed. Services are often performed or delivered by individuals or service providers. They are characterized by their perishability, variability, and inseparability from the provider. Examples of services include healthcare, consulting, education, hospitality, and transportation.

Target Audience.

Product marketing targets a broader audience, ranging from individual consumers to businesses and organizations. The target audience may vary depending on the specific product category, its intended use, and the benefits it offers. The marketing efforts for products often focus on appealing to customer needs, desires, and preferences.

Service marketing tends to have a more specific target audience, as services are often designed to fulfill particular customer requirements or address specific problems. The target audience for services can range from individuals seeking personal services, such as beauty salons or fitness centers, to businesses requiring professional services, such as legal or financial consulting.

How is Promotion done for product and Services.

Product marketing utilizes strategies such as advertising, packaging design, product demonstrations, and retail displays to showcase the features, functionality, and quality of the product. Product marketers often focus on creating visually appealing campaigns, emphasizing product differentiation, and highlighting the value proposition to attract customers.

Service marketing relies heavily on building relationships, establishing trust, and demonstrating expertise. Strategies employed in service marketing include content marketing, social media engagement, testimonials, case studies, and personal referrals. Service marketers focus on communicating the benefits, credibility, and unique value of the service, often emphasizing the expertise of service providers and the customer experience.

Customer experience for Product and services.

In product marketing, the customer experience is often centered around the product itself. Customers interact with the physical product, evaluate its features and performance, and assess its fit with their needs and preferences. The customer experience may also include factors such as packaging, delivery, and after-sales support.

In service marketing, the customer experience extends beyond the physical interaction with the service provider. It encompasses the entire service journey, from the initial contact and engagement to the delivery and post-service support. Service marketers strive to create positive customer experiences by ensuring personalized interactions, responsiveness to customer needs, and the delivery of high-quality service.
